planet hollywood

My boyfriend and I are going to Disney in September. I know I am planning early but I am kind of narotic like that and I have to have everything orgaized. We are going for 6 nights/7days. Coming in on Sept 22 and leaving Sept 28. our first day we will be at a water park. We plan to go to Epcot 1x, MGM 1x, Animal Kingdom 1x, Magic Kingdom 3x, Universal 1x. We are having 2 nice dinners. One at Cinderella's Casle and one at the Coral Reef Resturant. We are also going to Planet Hollywood one night and Mini Golf another night. What type of clothes should we pack in our suitcase? When get there on the 22nd we are going straight to the water park and then to Magic Kingdom (we might stop off at the hotel to change but we are not sure if our luggage will be in our room yet) What shudl we pack in our carry-on for the plane? (remember only small liquids)|||I'm a big fan of over-organizing for an up-coming trip as well. My husband thinks its a bit nuerotic, but we always have such a nice time because we are so well organized and have almost everything planned out.
You'll be visiting during a great time! I love late Septebmer and October in Orlando. The weather will still be warm, if not hot and most definitely humid. So be sure to pack comfortable, breathable clothing - the best options can be found at sporting good stores (for your park days) which say that they wick away moisture on the label. The golden rule for Florida that time of year is if it is cotton, its rotten. Cotten sucks in moisture, but it doesn't release it so you'll most likely be wet and uncomfortable all day. Also, bring good walking shoes. My #1 recommended park shoe are Crocs Sandals. They are lightweight, antibacterial, have great arch support and are super comfy. Plus, you can wear them on all the water rides, get soaked, and your feet will be dry in minutes. I know they aren't the most stylish shoe, but it sure beats blisters or sore feet after a nice vacation.
Pack 1-2 swimsuits. If you have any suits with exposed metal (like the fashionalbe hip rings you see on bikinis), don't wear that to the Disney water parks. They will not allow you to go on any of the waterslides with a suit that has exposed metal. Save that style for the hotel pool.
Pack a baseball cap or a cute beach-style hat. I also recommend fun beach apparel and accessories - you are in the sunshine state so its fun to get into it. I recommend Breezy Beach Wear (http://www.breezybeachwear.com) they have a ton of really great beach clothing and accessories for gals and guys.
For your carry-on, be sure to follow the 3 oz rule: you can only have liquids if they are in a bottle which is clearly marked as 3 oz. I typically take visine, a small lip gloss, and a 3oz tube of neosporin. Studies have recently showed that its not being on an airplane that makes you sick, but the air ventalation. The air being blown into the plane dries out your nasal cavity, casing it to crack. Then it is overly exposed to germs. So as odd as it sounds, dab a small amount on the inside of your nose before you board the plane. I've been doing it for over 6 months and have not once gotten sick off a flight. Bring something to read or a portable DVD player with a few movies to pass time on the flight. Once you've passed security check-points, you can get food or liquid of any size, so go for it and grab a smoothie or snack to have on-board.
My husband and I run a Disney travel planning service. We create custom trip booklets for our clients which has everything from their flight info, hotel confirmation numbers, driving directions, park maps, personalized dining recommendations, and much more. We always recommend that our clients keep this booklet with them in their carry-on. I always make one when we travel and its so great to have all of our important info in one handy book.

Have a great time!|||check the weather channel before you go maybe a week in advance|||sun glasses|||Pack something to keep you cool because your going to be hot|||This is supposed to be a vacation where you relax! You're putting WAY too much thought into this.
A bathing suit, comfortable clothes, and comfortable shoes. That's all you need to worry about. But hey, you've still got almost 8 months to get ready!|||I went to Paris recently so i have a good memory of what to pack.
an small change of clothes including underwear (in case you spill all over your self)
make up (if you wear it)
brush, toothbrush, toothpaste
camera
Food , like trail mix and bring pop
Money!!!
Camera
mp3 player
shampoo/conditioner|||oh my god, that sounds fun!! the weather should be nice, but i am always catious when i pack< my husband says i always pack too much> i bring 5 pairs of shorts, 5 tanktops, 5 t shirts, 3 pairs of jeans, some skirts, 3 pairs of shoes, pleanty of undergarments, 4 swimsuits, 1 sweater, 2 longsleeve shirts, and lots of socks! have fun!!!|||It's usually warm in September, high in the low 90's, lows in the 60-70's. If you going right to the water park, pack your bathing suits (duh) and a change of clothes for when you leave. Capris and a t-shirt for you, shorts and a t-shirt for your boyfriend. (you'll not want to drive around after the water park in a wet bathing suit -- ick!) Oh, yea, don't forget to pack sandals or flip-flops.
Sun-tan lotion, moisturizer for when you leave (chlorine can really dry out your skin), a comb/brush and if you have long hair, something to pull it back with.
Even if you want to stop for a quick bite to eat, that end of town is very casual... you can go in almost any restaurant dressed in shorts and t-shirts.
For all your theme park activities, I'd suggest sneakers rather than sandals... but if you choose sandals, make sure they're very comfortable! Again, even in September, you can get burned real easy in Florida... never leave your hotel without putting the stuff on (don't forget your scalp and the tops of your ears..tops of your feet.)
If you forget anything, don't worry... you can buy whatever you forgot. We're a big city!
There are 8 of us and we are going to disney village in Paris for 2 nights (28/9 June)
We need to dine somewhere but don't know where.
It would be good to book in advance because we are clelebrating 2 birthdays and it would be a disappointment to be turned down.
Had thought about Planet Hollywood, anyway of booking and approx prices. We can't spend too much.
Thanks for your reccommendations!|||Online you should be able to find all the available places to eat, menues and numbers to book reservations. Since summers are busy, you must book a reservation for that many people to dine anywhere.|||thAt''s a very good idea indeed!
good luck and
au revoir|||very good idea. take your girlfriend their. she will be impressed. and give a rose too!|||pack a lunch
I saw a kiosk selling multi wear silk magic wrap skirts at the Planet Hollywood Hotel. I want one, but am no longer in Vegas. I looked online and only found them at alibaba.com. However, this is the wholesaler and I do not want to buy them in bulk (I just want one for myself). Does anyone know where I can purchase one? These are the skirts that can be worn 100 different ways (dress, skirt, wrap, etc.) and come with instructions. I am willing to buy one online or locally (I am in Salt Lake City).|||you can get them cheap on ebay.|||http://www.lysdy.com

|||Most of the chapels on Chapel Row are pretty cheesy. there are a few exceptions. I got married at the Monte Carlo hotel chapel. I would go for the hotel chapels over the strip ones just because they are nicer, and they provide everything for you. I planned my whole wedding over the phone!!!! The ceremony takes about 10 minutes or so. It can be as formal or informal as you like. Word to the wise. When you come out of the court house to get the license, DO NOT go with any of the limo drivers outside waiting. They try to sell you on their chapels for like $25!!!! You will get what you pay for!!!!! When we came out, there was a lilac colored limo complete with purple interior ready to take us to the Lavender Chapel down the street!!!! I don't even know if it's there anymore!!! It was 6 years ago. |||A Little White Wedding Chapel||| Some friend's of ours just got married in the Elvis chapel and had a blast!
The groom and bm rented Elvis tuxs
Elvis sung a song when she walked down the aisle
Did the vows
And then he broke out into viva las vegas and the the bridal party danced along!
They are hving a Las Vegas themed reception here in a few weeks for everyone to go to.
I am tring to find the video but cant find it now on anyone's myspace page. |||I'm not sure if it's on the list because I don't remember what it was called but . . . a friend of mine got married in the chapel at Tropicana. It was very pretty and had a (wait for it) tropical theme, lol. Then we moved over to one of the ballrooms for a small reception - but I don't think it was a requirement to have a reception on top of the ceremony. It was surprisingly nice for all being planned over the telephone - and I'm a caterer so I tend to analyze it anytime I go to a catered event.
Vegas is still a bit of a cliche - but it doesn't have to be cheesy or tacky. God knows it's what I'm going to do, lol!
