Hi. I'm going to Vegas for the first time in a dozen years, and will be staying at the Luxor. Can anyone advise me on the the best way to economically ride between there, Planet Hollywood, and the Mirage for some evening shows?
I also here that Hugo's, down at the 4 Queens, is a great restaurant. Anyone tried it?
Thanks!|||Fastest way is a Taxi. Probably run you about 12.00 If you are trying to do it cheap, then tram from Luxor to Excalibur, walk to from Excalibur to NY, NY then walk to Monte Carlo, then take the tram from Monte Carlo to Mirage.
I hope this helps!|||Take the double decker bus. It's like $5 for an all day pass and it goes all the way up and down the strip and into downtown.|||Taxi-the only way to go from your destinations, have fun!!|||There is a free mono-rail that runs between the Luxor and Excalibur so I would take that and then walk to Planet Hollywood. For the Mirage its a really long walk and so I suggest taking a taxi, especially if you are going to a show. AFTER the show you may want to consider walking back, or again taking a taxi.|||Hugo's is fantatic and romantic.
You take the free tram from Luxor to Excalibur, cross the street bridge to NYNY, walk to Monte Carlo and catch a tram to Mirage. Otherwise you can walk or ride the bus. You can walk to PH from Mirage.
Check out www.lasvegasnow.com for info|||On all of our trips to Vegas, we end up walking the strip. I would definitely walk to Planet Hollywood with no problem. It takes about 15 minutes door to door. The Mirage is farther, so if you are wanting to get there in a decent amount of time, I would suggest the Deuce. An all- day 24-hour pass is only $5, and it stops at all of the hotels on the strip and downtown. You can ride it one way for $2. The only thing about the bus is it can get kind of crowded, and it can get stuck in traffic. So if it looks too busy, or you don't want to take the risk, you could try the monorail.

You could get on the Monorail at the MGM Grand Station. (just go into MGM and follow signs to monorail, or ask an employee where it is). It has a stop at Harrah's/Imperial Palace, which is across the street from the Mirage. It costs $5 for a one-way ticket, $9 for a two-ride ticket, or $9 for a 24-hour pass. It's a little more expensive than the bus, but it is not very crowded most of the time, and it will get you places fast.
I hope this helps!
P.S. If you want to ride the monorail to Planet Hollywood, also, there is a stop at Paris/Bally's which is next door to Planet Hollywood.|||The duce is the best way to get around. There are also plenty of taxis. Not sure if you already booked your room at the LUXOR but here is a promo code " Promo" . If might get you a better deal. Make sure you compare the price and the extras they give you. Here is the Luxors link http://clk.atdmt.com/MGM/go/pblsrmgm1870鈥?/a>|||here is a map of the strip

People who say walk don't understand that not everybody wants to walk, especially if they are dressed up. It's very hot to walk in the summer even in the evenings.
