Enjoy the PH. It is a nice place. They have some of the best rooms on the Strip.
My advice (been there 6 times)
- Buy a pair of comfortable walking shoes. You will be walking around more than anything. Everything looks so close together until you walk there.
- Do not make any plans. The only thing that really requires plans is if you want to see a big show (O, Cirque de Soleil, Bette Midler), you may need to buy those tickets in advance. There are many other smaller productions, has been singers, up and coming singers, that perform 5 nights a week, but you can usually buy those tickets the day of. There also also lots of comedy clubs, too. The best thing to do is decide when you are there what you want to do.
- The same goes for restaurants. There are lots of good places. You do not need reservations to most of them. Planet Hollywood has a good buffet. Most upscale hotels have a nice buffet. Some of the more rundown places have a cheaper, more rundown buffet. You will get what you pay for.
- If you do not mind getting mailers from casinos about upcoming room deals, sign up for as many player's clubs as you can. Every casino offers them. This is the casino's way of keeping track of how much you are gambling. If you gamble enough, you get free stuff (meals, rooms, discounts). You do have to gamble a lot, but if you go back every couple of years, you may be able to build up enough points to get a free room.
- If you are going there with a spouse, watch out for people offering you tickets to a show (they never state which show, they just ask if you are interested in tickets to 'a show'). They are legit (legally, at least), but you have to first sit through a time share presentation. Unless you plan on buying a time share, stay away from those pushy people. And they are on a lot of places on the strip (not everywhere, you will learn where they are). They usually leave single people alone.
If you tell them you are leaving tomorrow, they will leave you alone as well.
- Check out Downtown at least one night. It is kind of disappointing compared to the Strip, but it has its charm. They offer several nice light shows every night on Fremont St (search Fremont St on Youtube) and other free entertainment. Downtown does not have have the amazing buildings and lights that you see on the Strip. You can see everything from one point. If you go there during the day, you can see how rundown it is. However, Downtown is where you will find cheap food, cheap booze, loose slots, cheap hotel rooms, and cheap tables. And if you are there at night, it is a lot of fun.
- Before you go, watch the original Ocean's 11 movie with the Rat Pack (not the re-make). It is a good movie to see what the Strip was like in 1960. I always like to watch some Vegas movies before I head out.
- If you plan on gambling a lot, visit site like www.wizardofodds.com and learn which games have the best advantage for the player and how to play those games. This can help you spread out your gambling money further.
Other than that, just go out there and have fun. I can't tell you what to do as there is too much to do. |||walk around the strip..or take a cab..
I prefer walking cause it's actually faster.
Hit up all the hotels & roam around.
The Billagio has a wonderful water show.
Treasure Island(TI) has a show right outside called "Sirens of TI)
If you guys are party animals..there's lots of clubs there (obviously)
Just google them up.All of them are nice.|||Your hotel is in a fantastic location with the miracle mile shopping mall on the premises, make sure to visit the paris hotel near bye its really nice.Above all have a blast and take it all in as you'll be blown away by it all
