I've heard that a lot of construction is going on there because they are making it into Planet Hollywood. I made reservations before I found out about the remodeling. Has anyone stayed there recently or seen it? I'd like to know how the conditions are because if it is too noisy or messy, I might cancel and switch hotels. Thanks!
Also, how is the spice market buffet? Someone told me that the food now isn't as good as it had been before the remodeling. Any experiences you'd like to share?|||I stayed there this past August, the downstairs is where most of the construction is taking place. The hotel is strategically located on the strip close to walking distances to the other major hotels and casinos, walking distance to Caesar's and New York New York. I wouldn't change hotels, there is also a mall downstairs with tons of restaurants and shops.|||I stayed there in august as well, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms. We got a really good deal on the rooms ($29 a night) and the rooms were incredible. Me and my brother had a room with 2 Queen beds, a large tv, an in room safe, and a tremendous bathroom with both a tub and shower. The hotel is amazing, and most of the construction that is being done is downstairs and a little bit in the casino. It was not a bother at all. You'll have fun at the hotel, but I personally wouldn't gamble there anymore. I had the worst luck there out of any casino.|||The shopping there is good and diverse but that's all I did at the Aladdin.|||Vegas is a disease|||yeah|||still ballin'|||it's in a good location but 2nd rate compared to the Bellagios and Venetians of the world...|||Most of the construction is taking place downstairs which looks a bit doom and gloom and could put people of this hotel which is why they were offering very good priced to stay in this hotel whilst the contruction was taking place. If you dont mind a bit of noise whilst shopping there then its ok. Plus you are within walking distance to most of the other major hotels like the Bellagio, New York New York, Casers Palace and the Flamingo which all provide great services and things to do. You should try it out and if you are not happy then they will transfer you to another hotel which can be done. The customer service there is very good. Have fun!|||I was there in the first part of October. There was a lot of construction going on in both the hotel and the Dessert Passage shopping area.
I didn't stay at the hotel but I ate at the Spice Market Buffet for lunch. It was overpriced and was not all that based on what the Vegas guides hype it to be. The meat station and the dessert stations were great. The other stations just didn't have alot to offer. Even the salad bar wasn't good. I was very disappointed. I am trying Bellagio next time or maybe th Rio. Like I said, that meat was great. The lamb and the chicken that was skewered and had the best unique flavor.
I actually liked the breakfast buffet at the Las Vegas Hilton for the money. If you join the players club you get a buy 1/get 1 coupon.
