or also harrahs, they all similar in price range about $550-560 for 3 nights june 21-24 (sat, sun, mon night) plus airfare from kansas to vegas, is that sounding like a good deal? and what do u think is the BEST way to get a room upgrade? ive heard lots people pull it off when its there 21st bday, i will be checking in the day of my birthday. Any think i HAVE to do and not miss out on in vegas in particular? any tips and what not to make this trip awesome would be appreciated, im leaning toward planet hollywood but i dont know!|||The prices are higher becaue your whole trip is hitting the weekend nights which are most expensive. The same trip on weekdays would be half as much.
Luxor and MGM Grand are MGM Resort Properties. Use a promo code and you'll probably get a better rate.
http://www.kidsinvegas.com/kid-friendly-鈥?/a> - almost all of these are MGM promo's
Harrah's does their own inhouse promo stuff. You can shop them to death if you want and they will match it. http://www.harrahs.com/best-rate-guarant鈥?/a>

Shop til you drop. Check Hotels.com and Expedia as comparison.
There is of course on one best hotel. MGM has a much better Pool Complex compared to the other two.
A lot of it really depends on the room type you choose, and the location of the Hotel Room within the resort.
Everybody wants to upgrade, but they don't even know how good the standard rooms are.|||I personally like the Luxor and the MGM Grand.
Definitely take the time to walk up and down the strip (the Luxor and the MGM are both down at one end).
It's fun to people watch, and just to walk in and out of the different casinos.
There's lots going on outside... the fountain show in front of the Bellagio, the pirate ship battle in front of Treasure Island, shopping and checking stuff out inside Planet Hollywood and Cesar's Palace.
You'll have a great time!|||Luxor is the best deal for the money.
Mgm grand in walking distance but also has a tram that can take you anywhere in the city.
Both have great nightlife. LAX and Studio 54
Treasure Island/planet hollywood do not really offer you any advantages at that age. But I would stay at whichever one I could find the cheapest.
See this list of promotions to get the best rates.
http://www.earlyvegas.com/promo_codes.ht鈥?/a>|||MGM is great, it has a huge pool area with a lazy river and the new wet republic pool. I would check the current hotel promotions in order to get the best price. You can find hotel promotions e.g. on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com|||Grab one of the deals being offered by MGM Grand or Luxor at the moment. Lot's of Vegas hotels are having mind blowing discounts. Here are some discount codes:

Not really cheap (and full of the kind of people that like really cheap places). Not really expensive, and full of high rollers. It has a good atmosphere and a tram you can get to various other nearby casinos.
I thought the Luxor was crap, and the staff were rude and unfriendly. It's beginning to look its age.
Last time I was there they were still doing the Planet Hollywood conversion, so maybe it's nice.
MGM is just vast. Big like you would not believe. It's like living in a mall.
UPDATE: I don't get why Chris C would go to Vegas and complain there is too much gambling going on! I mean DUH. That's rather the point.
As for everything closing at 10pm, that's nonsense too. The place is open 24/7. There is always something to do.
Shows, helicopter rides, clubs, bars, restaurants, shops, malls, exhibitions, entertainment. It's none stop.|||The MGM and Luxor our at the far south end of the strip. Right now there is a lot of construction going on between them and the action part of the strip. Sure PH (Planet Hollywood) is almost directly across from the construction but it won't be a hindrance.
TI is farther North but not central.
PH seems to attract the 20-30's crowd and a fun place. Your not far from Paris which is also a rock'n place a night. Then just a little bit farther up the strip is Harrah's that has Carnival Court. Carnival Court has great bands and those awesome flare bartenders. The entertainment lasts until 2-3 a.m. at the least.
Hands down of the places you mentioned go for PH.|||me and my wife went in november for her 21st and we will never go back. all there is to do is gamble and everything shuts down at ten. and everything was under construction after that is nothing but gambiling. the only thing we really liked was the show and the roller coasters at new york new york. and we saw le reve and ka. both were awesome. le reve was our favorite but tickets are like 150 a piece. but you will see several people at tables selling tickets and just ask them what they liked. dont go to the guy with just a fold out table on the strip if you go into the casinos in the lobby there will be pros to help you. not sure if you would want to do this but we rented a car and drove to the grand canyon to ride horses but that will take an entire day to drive out there and ride the horses and drive back. but like I said the shows were really good diffenetly go see le reve. its a water show it worth it. also a warining when you are walking on the strip and you come across a small group of mexicans that are smaking there hand on what looks like a stack of business cards look away cuz if they see you looking they will try to hand you a card and its got naked chicks on it for prostitution.|||Try this website to save even more on your hotel. They are promotion codes that are really great- I always use them.

Luxor- standard pyramid room- $307 for 3 nights
upgraded luxury suite- $482 for 3 nights
Planet Hollywood- standard- $487 for 3 nights
MGM Grand- Grand tower- $417 for 3 nights
Treasure Island- $375.30 for 3 nights
3 nights plus airfare for $550 is really good. But you can sometimes find better. I just paid $600 for 2 people for 4 nights at the Luxor and airfare from Indianapolis, IN. Is your $550 for just you, or you and another person?
Southwest has a round trip ticket right now from Kansas city to Las Vegas for $250 total- that includes all taxes and fees. And if you add that to any of the totals above you get
Luxor
$550
$732
PH
$737
MGM
$667
TI
$625
Southwestvacations.com has the flight and hotel stay for around $510- $560. But if you were to split the cost of the hotel with a friend, that would save you a couple hundred dollars on the total. Or if you were to go during the week, you would save a TON on the hotel stay alone. For example, if you were to get there on the 23rd and stay until the 26th, the airfare would be the same, but some of the hotels drop to less than $100 per night. Luxor you can get for $59 a night on some dates. And Treasure Island for $89/night.
I hope this helps.
