we just booked a regular room at PH and are wondering if it's possible to get a free room upgrade especially since it's our honeymoon. if so, how!?|||Your honeymoon is not a good enough excuse b/c thousands of people are celebrating something everyday in vegas. Your only real shot at a free upgrade is to try the sandwich trick. upon checkin slip a $20 or $50 between your license and credit card and ask if they have any complimentary upgrades. If so then you get a room upgrade for $20 for your stay, if not they will usually just say sorry, but not at the moment and give you your money back.|||Step 1: go buy a mouse at a pet store for like $2
Step 2: throw it in the room when you arrive
Step 3: go complain
Step 4: free room upgrade|||I'd try giving them your story first. Try to get a friendly front desk person, tell them it's your honeymoon, that you love Planet Hollywood and you stay there all the time, join the player's club before you check in.

I've done this at many many hotels, and I will tell you that the main trick to getting a free upgrade is what day you check in. If you're checking in on a Friday or Saturday, forget it. If at all possible, check in a slow weekday, where they have plenty of nicer rooms available.|||slip the reservation desk person a tip...or complain to management about your room|||Call them and upgrade your reservation. Considering how much you're already spending on the vacation, AND that it's your honeymoon; why not spend another $100 or $200? Your honeymoon vacation memories are going to last the rest of your life. Don't let it be a low budget memory.|||Ask them. Vegas hotels are having problems filling rooms right now, and odds are, you'll get the upgrade. Also, you should look at buying a room package (you might be able to change your reservation) so you'll get a cut-rate, along with tickets to various shows, discounts on meals and gaming credits.|||We paid for a suite in Oct. '08 (5 of us). They like high rollers. Marriage, b-days...sadly, these mean nothing to them; we got a view of construction, not Paris & Bellagio as advertised.
Nice hotel though. Good location, fun casino, nice mall & places to eat, crappy pool though. Enjoy!
