Well since both properties are next door to each other there is no advantage to the location which is great. This is really a wash with neither having an advantage over the other. I will tell you my impressions and you can decide for yourself.
Paris: Rather small rooms. The windows are quite large and the views are very good. The whole "French" thing gets to be a bit tedious, though. I don't especially like the mimes and the staff struggling to use as many French words as possible and all the "cutsie" French touches wear thin after a while. But that may just be my taste.
Planet Hollywood the rooms are a bit larger but the standard rooms have small windows. (the Vista rooms are much better). The lobby is too small so if you arrive during a busy time the wait to check in can be quite long.
Neither has an exceptional pool so that, too, is a wash. Paris has its pool on the roof and it is pretty lame. Just a few planters around and it gets pretty hot. Planed Hollywood has two plain pools on a deck off the first floor.
Both have good buffets. Paris has the "Eiffel Tower" but it is only about half the size of the Stratosphere at the North end of the strip, the observation deck is tiny, covered in steel mesh and more expensive than the Strat. Don't bother.
There you go. Sorry if I cannot be of more help but I call them as I see them. I do not know what rate you got but neither of these are very high up on my list.
*|||Paris, it is a beautiful hotel. Planet Hollywood is a remake of the old, small Aladdin.|||I would go with Paris. I have stayed there and the standard room was really nice. Plus at Paris you are closer to all of the other hotel/casinos and really the center of most of the action on the strip. Planet H is a makeover of the old Alladin hotel but it is not that old since the Alladin was rebuilt from the ground up just about 4 or 5 years ago. The changover was mainly in name only and maybe color schemes.
I say Paris just based on location.|||I would say Paris. I've stayed there, and the rooms are great. It has an awesome pool too! As far as location, it is next door to Planet Hollywood. If you are using any type of transportation, Paris is better to get into and out of. Planet Hollywood is a pain in the butt!
If you are planning on hitting the clubs, Planet Hollywood has Priv茅. It is fast becoming one of the hotter clubs. Staying at the hotel where you plan to club is helpful to avoid hefty kickbacks to the shredders.
I am a limo driver here in Vegas, if you need any other assistance, feel free to ask.|||Paris|||Paris "hands down"! And if you get "P" room it's fantastic. Large windows, great strip view and ours was of the Bellagio Fountain. You haven't seen the fountains until you see them from the 26th floor of Paris.
Paris has one of the best Buffets and the other restaurants are great.
Paris connects to Bally's via the shopping area so when it's 110 degrees outside you walk inside through Bally's and exit the North doors cross to Bill's and you're back in AC.|||Don't listen to any of those other people! DEFINITELY the Planet Hollywood! They just got redecorated, so the decor is nicer, and they are really eager to please, unlike some other places. (And if you don't think newer decor matters, just think about the beds and furniture in your hotel room. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas--in the upholstery!! EWWW!!)|||PLANET HOLLYWOOD!
Paris is overrated. PH has better restaurants and the hottest night club in Vegas, Prive. Enjoy!
