We are staying at the Planet Hollywood, in a "holly hip room"...will yall please give us some reviews and hints about the hotel?! Thanks so much.|||I didn't stay there, but...
1. It has good gambling. During the day they have $5 Blackjack, which is about as cheap as it gets on the south end of the strip. They allow smoking in the casino though. Yuck.
2. They have some shows there. Scarlett Princess of Magic isn't very good because it's obvious how she does the tricks. Watch this only if you want to see how magic tricks are done. I heard V: The Ultimate Variety Show and Gregory Popovich's Comedy and Pet Theater are good but I haven't seen them.
3. It's in a good location at the south end of the strip.
4. It's big. |||I went to google and type in review for planet hollywood in las vegas and there was a bunch of good ones and a bunch of bad ones. here are half and half. hope this helps :)

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We arrived on 9-1-08 and left 9-05-08. Valet parking was very rude and slow. It took them almost 30 minuntes to get our rental car and if you complained, they really didnt care. The food started out great but rapidly went downhill. The cocktail servers inside the casino were rude and would not get our correct server so we could order drinks. Every other hotel/casino we visited had excellent service but this one. They even tried to get us to buy a timeshare here! We will never go back to this hotel ever!!!!!

The Armoire
Planet Hollywood from Bellagio perspective
View of Bellagio Fountain from our Room
The location of this hotel is one of the best. We stayed there twice before when it was the Aladdin. The bathrooms are fabulously laid out. The new remodel is very nice. However, the bed wasn't attached to the wall or headboard and everytime my husband and I tried to sit on the bottom of the bed the top of the bed lifted off the floor almost sending us to the floor. The colors in the hallways aren't the most attractive but the changes to the Miracle Mile are mostly nice, although I did love the look when it was the Dessert Passage. They have improved the flooring, it is not as hard on your feet and legs that the stamped concrete use to be. They have a wonderful selection of stores there now, also. One other change that has not turned out to be an improvement is the armoire in the rooms. I can hang more clothes, but they do not supply enough hangers. There are only tiny drawers and you have to always open a door to get to these drawers. The end tables, although they are nice, do not offer any additional storage for your items. This was quite upsetting since I had to cram a lot of stuff into very little space. I guess if you only stay for 2 or 3 days it may be enough space...we usually stay about a week. One last complaint, the safe was high on a shelf in the armoire...short people, myself included, can't see into it to make sure we have gotten all of our belongings out. One last comment on improvements, a 42" flat screen TV...pretty nice. Overall, I do like this hotel, you can't beat the location.

The hotel is nice, and has just been renovated so it's all spiffy. When you check in, ask if you are getting a recently renovated room, and also ask if you can have a view of the Bellagio fountains.
The buffet is good - and there are plenty of other places to eat, both in the hotel and in the attached shopping area - the Miracle Mile (http://www.planethollywoodresort.com/pdf…
the casino and bars attract a youngish (20's, early 30's) crowd and has a lot of energy. The pool area is nothing to write home about - very unflashy compared to some of the other pools on the strip. If you like shopping, you'll totally enjoy the Miracle Mile.
The location is good - an inexpensive cab ride to everywhere on the strip, and this time of year a pleasant walk to Paris, Bally's, and Bellagio, It's next door to MGM Grand, but MGM is so big, be prepared for a lot of walking if you head that way.|||This hotel is really awesome! I was not sure I was going to like it but it is fast becoming my favorite hotel in Las Vegas (kind of a tie with the Palazzo right now)!
You can actually see some good pics of the planet hollywood hotel over at http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/Planet…
Have fun!
